- Rennyo Shonin was the eighth abbott of Jodo Shinshu. His letters played an important part in enabling the clear expression of Pure Land Buddhism in a way that the people of his time could readily understand.
- This is the first Australian website dedicated to Jodo Shinshu. It is a vast repository of the writings of esteemed thinkers and teachers in the Jodo Shinshu tradition, as well as current book reviews.

- This article is an introduction the Kyo Gyo Shin Sho by Professor Emeritus of Ryukoku University, Dr Inagaki Hisao.
- The Kyo Gyo Shin Sho (The True Teaching, Practice and Realisation) belongs to the shastra class of Buddhist literature. Researched, written and compiled by Shinran between 1224 and 1247, it is a compendium of the Pure Land Buddhist teachings of Shakyamuni Buddha and the Dharma Masters. It forms the theoretical basis of the Pure Land way, which Shinran later celebrated in his hymns.
